Welcome to the Counselor’s Corner!
Hello Hamilton families! I am Ms. Villalpando; the students refer to me as “Ms. V.”. I am very happy to have this opportunity to be Hamilton’s fulltime school counselor and work with our amazing Hamilton students, parents and staff. My personal mission as an educator is to help our students attain the skills they need to take on the role as important individuals in their community who strive to be the very best! Together we will help our students believe they can achieve personal growth throughout their educational years and beyond.
As a school counselor; I perform the following roles in order to promote positive development in academic, career, and personal/social domains:
Academic and Classroom Guidance
Social and Emotional Education
College and Career Exploration and Preparedness
Attend and participate in academic intervention meetings
Positive Behavioral Intervention Strategies (PBIS)
Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, students and community members
Respond to school crisis or emergency situations
Provide information and resources to parents on a variety of issues
